Veltia Hand Dryer

2007_10_03 veltia.jpg

Here is another air hand dryer with a familiar form factor, but a Dyson Airblade it is not. The Veltia hand dryer claims to dry your hands in 10 to 15 seconds which is about the same time it takes when using the Dyson. It is shaped like the Dyson and you hold your hands in the same position as you would with the Dyson. So what is the difference?

Price is the biggest difference here. The Dyson retails for around $1400 while the Veltia comes in at around $725. Add to this a wide selection of colours and a smaller size overall, the Veltia looks like the easy choice. Unless or course you happen to be partial to the Dyson brand.

More information about availability can be found here.

why anybody would spend either 7 or 14 hundred dollars to dry your hands is the real mystery...ridiculous

I often read about price differences on appliance parts that are not explained. I am usually a hard to please customer and I always try to take best decissions for all the products I buy so these unexplained price differences are out of question for me.
